Memory Care at The Preston is designed to support residents with thoughtful and custom care. Our caregivers are called “Nayas,” which comes from ancient Sanskrit and means “guide” or “person of wisdom.”
Nayas have up-to-the-minute knowledge about the latest care modalities, strategies, and techniques that help them fulfill our goal of not only providing an exceptional level of care, but fostering a deep sense of contentment and well-being among residents. It’s a unique approach that allows our Nayas to deliver custom care with empathy and warmth.
Unique programs have been developed specifically for Memory Care residents, such as gardening and yoga, community events, and more. Amenities include a shared dining room (with food crafted by the same culinary team responsible for all dining experiences at The Preston), outdoor dining, gardening, and a large outdoor terrace.
The Dallas Arboretum features classes in their garden for guests with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers, in partnership with The Preston, which also helps to sponsor their Writer’s Garden. The Dallas Arboretum Partnership was designed by consultants and experts in memory care.
These 29 studio-style residences are designed to provide security, comfort, and ease, and support the wellbeing of our Memory Care residents.
Private and semi-private suites feature spacious common areas, open kitchens with family-style seating, and a dedicated outdoor courtyard. They offer more than safety and security—they provide comfort and familiarity.
