Assisted Living | The Bridge | Memory Care

Always something new to experience every single day.

At The Preston, it’s all about connections: social connections and relationships with friends and family; connections with nature—at the Dallas Arboretum nearby; mental connections within one’s self that lead to growth, stimulated by a broad range of activities and programs that provoke surprise, wonder, and delight. It’s an exquisite meal, setting–and meeting–workout goals in our Wellness and Fitness Center, a game of billiards in our Club Room, a pottery class in the Art Studio. The Preston invites activity and engagement, and our abundant offerings provide a richly woven tapestry of programs that will always lead to rich experiences.

With a 24-hour concierge to assist in arranging everything from in-house activities to local excursions, having it all is not only an acceptable goal, at The Preston, it’s positively encouraged.

Our signature Watermark University offers workshops and courses for residents at every age and stage and may just teach residents more than they expect to learn about themselves! Perhaps a yoga or Pilates class, Music and Movement, Conversation Spanish, or The Artist Within will reveal a talent that you never knew you had.

Cultural enrichment programs include day trips to Dallas Museum of Art, local galleries, live-music venues, and Dallas’ favorite shopping destinations. Our “Extraordinary Outings” take residents where they may have never been before: on hot air balloon rides, to Texas Hill Country, on a dinner cruise, to weekend excursions to Austin breweries and wineries.

Life is a mindful journey, moving us toward discovery and new possibilities at every turn. Staying engaged and mentally active is the way to thrive and grow at any age or level of care.

Available to all residents, EngageVR Virtual Reality, our exciting virtual reality program, brightens the lives of Memory Care residents, offering a way to “transport” them, virtually, to an exciting destination, such as the wreck of the Titanic, or an African safari. Virtual reality also enables them to connect with people and environments across the globe and can help strengthen memory and mind.
